The Wardrobe I’m Living In
I’ve never been drawn to the idea of a capsule wardrobe, it always felt too prescriptive. But noticing the pieces I reach for most, and the items I shop to update each season, I’ve become aware of my own personal rotation.
Midweek it’s an effortless base: a jersey palazzos or jeans with a skimming T-shirt and light knit around my waist. A structured jacket and trainers are my go-to for the school run.
Weekends are just as casual, but more considered. Carpenter pants or cargos, a pretty embordered top, or something more simple with structure introduced with an interesting coat. I lean heavily into silhouette, celebrating my proportions through the cut is something I love, whether I’m pulling on a tracksuit or something tailored.
For me, feeling dressed for the day is always central, it’s about purpose and being grounded in my life. Most days call for something in-between: practical enough to move in, yet still chic; pieces that honour who I am. Each item on rotation does just that, with cleverly considered details that bring a touch of polish exactly when I need it.
